Urkraft is an NGO based in Skellefteå, Västerbotten in northern Sweden set up from an initial funding investment in 1988. The organisation is a social enterprise that provides vocational training and education for unemployed people. Employing 12 people the staff mainly working with vocational education and training tailored to both the needs of the individual, but also the societies need of skilled professionals – people who possess a belief in themselves, their abilities and their future.

Materahub is an aggregator of people Materahuband business encouraging the creation of new job opportunities and the promotion of sustainable development. Materahub promotes know-how exchange and co-working activities with the aim to create and plan new projects to address local needs Learning processes are vital for the development and empowerment of creativity and related skills, so materahub promotes new methodologies where creativity is used to add value to the learning path participated by trainees/learners. Materahub wants to develop a social economy of culture: an alternative way for each community who wants to exploit its skills and distinguishing social, cultural and environmental factors solving critical problems like youth unemployment and brain drain.

Zukunftsbau gGmbH | Germany

Zukunftsbau (ZuB) is a Berlin based non-profit educational provider and accredited training company with approx. 90 employees. Founded in 1986, ZuB is committed to the support and training of disadvantaged young people and the long-term unemployed with the aim of integration into the job market. ZuB offers counselling services, vocational training in the ‘dual system’, vocational guidance and modular qualification programs with integrated social welfare support.

In order to support and develop its work further, Zukunftsbau has been working since 1994 in cooperation with partners from European countries and can offer many years of experience with  EU programs, both as a coordinator and as a partner in European projects.

‘s-Hertogenbosch | The Netherlands

‘s-Hertogenbosch is the capital of Brabant. The city has approximately 140,000 inhabitants and offers a wide range of education. The main goals of the municipality of ‘s-Hertogenbosch in youth and education policy is to enable the development of individual talents and reduce the number of young people leaving school without qualifications. The municipality takes the lead in connecting schools, (regional) businesses/companies and government.

Plymouth University is the largest university in the South West of England, with over 28,600 students and is 10th largest in the United Kingdom by total number of students (including the Open University). It has almost 2,900 staff making it one of the largest employers in the southwest. The main campus is Plymouth, but the university has campuses and affiliated colleges all over South West England.
